Our web page provides a glimpse of our weekly life in the church, but it’s when we come together as a community that you will truly get to know us and feel a sense of belonging.
I am Pastor Dave, and I have had the honor and pleasure of serving as the Federated Church’s pastor since December 2020, first as their pulpit supply minister, then as a part-time pastor, and ultimately as their full-time pastor.
I am gratefully married to a wonderful woman; Dee and I have been married for 46+ years, and we have raised five children together. We are blessed and enjoy the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I have been on a journey that has been both challenging and a blessing. I believe that I have always kept God at the center of my journey, as I have
worked in various fields. I was never afraid to try new things, and I believe that I saved the best for last.
My undergraduate studies were in sociology at Worcester State University, and I completed my graduate studies at Andover Newton Theological School with a master of divinity degree. I am ordained as an American Baptist Minister; however, my roots are in Community Church, which is one reason that I find leading a Federated Church exciting and rewarding.
Entering ministry was not a straight line for me, as I spent most of my life in various occupations and missions. After I finished my formal education, I felt that I was called to work among homeless individuals, and those with a substance use disorder. I found this work rewarding; however, it was not fulfilling for me in the long term. I knew I was called elsewhere. In 2020, after much reflection and prayer, The Federated Church and I began our journey together. All who wish to travel with us are welcome.
